STUDENTS WILL
Learn by ear, by rote and by notes.
Learn practical chord theory and how to follow a lead sheet.
Strengthen their inner rhythm and feel.
Develop a diverse repertoire of music they love.
Our piano band program is a weekly 45-minute multi-level piano class.
In this supportive and inspiring environment, students will learn through individual and group music making. Students get one on one instruction from their teacher with the added benefit of learning alongside and playing with other young musicians. They will quickly develop skills that will have them confidently playing & enjoying all that piano has to offer!

Group Piano Band Lessons for Kids
Weekly 45m group piano lessons for kids ages 5 - 17y.

Students will:
Develop sight reading skills that will help them learn music quickly & confidently.
Move through their pieces faster & more independently.
Learn practice techniques minimizing the need for the supervision of at home practice.
Become confident in piano basics such as posture, notes and pitch.
Experience playing in unison and as an ensemble.
Explore composing and arranging.
Play a wide range of musical styles including classical, pop, blues, folk and more!

Every student is different, but here are a few recommendations to get you started:
0-5y: We recommend starting with an early childhood music class - you can join our Music Makers Class or another early childhood music class in town.
5-6y: We recommend piano band, where students can learn the basics of piano in a fun, social environment
7 - 17y: Choose between group , buddy , or individual lessons. Group Piano Band lessons will be organized based on age & level, specific times TBA.
18y +: Join our adult group classes (8-week sessions) or take individual / buddy lessons. Some teachers offer flexible scheduling via Class Pass for adults upon request.

Group Lessons - max. 6 students / teacher. We find students thrive in a social music making environment and get motivated and inspired by group lessons! Students receive individualized attention & support, as well as the added bonus of peer support.

Buddy Lessons - 2 students / teacher. Buddy lessons are "bring your own buddy" and are great if you have a friend who you want to learn with.
