Adult Music Classes
If you can’t already tell, we here at Merry Time truly believe that making music is better as a group! We hope you’ll join us for our adult fiddle, piano or singing classes starting in 2024. Register by yourself or with your friends!
Adult Beginner Fiddle Class (I) - Register Here
8-Week Spring Session - Wednesdays 7:00 - 7:45pm, starting on February 28th, 2024.
A weekly group class and jam for adults who have little to no experience playing fiddle, and who want to experience the joy of playing music as a group. We’ll focus on building a foundation on your instrument while collecting a shared repertoire of classic jam tunes and gaining confidence playing with others.
Adult Beginner Fiddle Class (II)
Mondays 7:15 - 8:00pm
A continuation of Adult Beginner Fiddle I - this weekly group class and jam is for adults who can play standard tunes on the A & E strings like Boil the Cabbage Down & Little Liza Jane.
We’ll focus on strengthening our foundation on the fiddle, gaining finger & bow control, and developing a stronger tone. We’ll explore ornaments and feel in greater depth.
Adult Beginner Piano Class
Wednesdays 7:00 - 7:45pm
Bring community into your piano journey! Join our Adult Beginner piano Group class where you’ll learn piano foundations, note reading, chord theory & how to follow a lead sheet. Grow your confidence while playing a wide range of styles both independently and as part of our first ever adult piano band!
Adult Beginner Voice Class
Wednesdays 6:00 - 6:45pm
Find your singing voice in this supportive and fun group for adults! This choir / singing lesson hybrid will give adult students the tools to explore & gain confidence in their unique singing voice.
